The 2008 recession triggered several rounds of lay-offs and re-hires at the architectural firms I last worked for, with one of them eventually closing for good at the end of 2012. Rather than move back to Portland (or another large metro area), I chose to stay in central Oregon and open my own company, Obsidian Architecture
In early 2016, with the housing market on the rebound, I decided to obtain my broker's license and branch out into the world of real estate as well. While the two professions are unique unto themselves, I am finding that they also complement each other rather nicely.
As far as I am aware, I am the only Realtor®/Architect in central Oregon. While I am not a licensed appraiser or inspector, I am happy to offer my professional advice/opinion on other aspects of real estate such as design, siting, materials, remodeling, etc.
Outside of my professional life, or perhaps in support of it, I enjoy music, cinema, photography
Though I am licensed to sell real estate throughout the state of Oregon, my focus is on the central Oregon area - including Deschutes County, Jefferson County, Crook County, and occasionally northern Klamath County. This area encompasses the cities and towns of Bend, Redmond, La Pine, Madras, Prineville, Sisters, and Terrebonne as well as the destination resorts of Black Butte Ranch, Brasada Ranch, Crooked River Ranch, Eagle Crest, Pronghorn, Sunriver, and Tetherow. Basic property searches for all of those can be found under the "Properties"
