Sisters (97759)

The town of Sisters (el. 3,182′) was founded in 1888.  It is located in Deschutes County 20 miles west of Redmond and 23 miles northwest of Bend. Established design guidelines maintain an old west character to the town. Each year the town hosts a number of events including the Sisters RodeoSisters Quilt Outdoor Show, and Sisters Folk Festival. The town is also close to the Hoodoo ski area, Santiam Pass (HWY 20) and Mackenzie Pass (HWY 242).


Black Butte Ranch (97759)

Black Butte Ranch (el. 3,350′) is a census-designated place and unincorporated private resort community in Deschutes County. It is located 9 miles northeast of Sisters. One of the oldest destination resorts in central Oregon, development of the former cattle ranch began in 1970.


Camp Sherman (97730)

Camp Sherman (el. 2,963’) is census-designated place and unincorporated community in Jefferson County. It is located on the Metolius River a further 8 miles north of Black Butte Ranch. It was originally founded in the latter part of the 19th century by vacationers from Sherman County.
